At WeldFit, we are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team on the night shift. This role is responsible for providing support to machinists, welders, and other operators in our downstream production line.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Have a general understanding of valves, flanged, and bolting.
  • Provide support to machinists, welders, and other operators as per customer orders.
  • Ensure overall cleanliness and maintenance of the building by performing tasks such as obtaining materials from stock areas and cleaning tools at the end of each shift.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Work and think safety at all times.
  • Be able to work overtime and weekends with minimal notice.
  • Work responsibly and independently with little supervision.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a similar role.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb.
  • Capability of lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • High level of manual dexterity.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.

Required Skills:

  • Verbal communication in English.
  • English reading skills.
  • English writing skills.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Time management skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Mathematic aptitude.
