Music Teacher for Thriving Secondary School

  1. Develop and Deliver Engaging Music Lessons
  • Design and implement music curricula across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, incorporating a wide range of musical genres and styles.
  1. Collaborate with Colleagues
  • Work closely with colleagues within the music department and across the school to enrich the overall learning experience.
  1. Contribute to School's Musical Culture
  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as concerts, ensembles, and productions to enhance the school's vibrant musical culture.
  1. Stay Up-to-Date with Music Education
  • Stay current with the latest pedagogical approaches and developments in music education to ensure high-quality teaching practices.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Music or Related Field
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field.
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  1. Teaching Experience
  • Demonstrate experience teaching music to secondary school students, ideally across all Key Stages.
  1. Music Theory and Performance
  • Have a strong understanding of music theory, history, and performance practices.
