We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Salaried General Practitioner to join our vibrant team at Andover Medical Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary care to our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting
  • Deliver outstanding patient care, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients
  • Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems
  • Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
  • Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
  • Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
  • Provide counselling and health education
  • Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
  • Collect data for audit purposes
  • Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • EMIS Web training
  • Docman training
  • Previous experience in General Practice as a General Practitioner
  • Understanding of Patient Demand in deprived areas
  • Understanding of Clinical Governance
  • Experience in Chronic Disease Management
  • Experience of teaching in general practice and a clear commitment to teach our GP registrars
  • Fully registered with the GMC
  • General Practice Trained
  • On a PCSE Medical Performers List
  • Further qualifications relevant to general practice
  • MRCGP membership (Or equivalent)
