About the Role
The University of Northampton is seeking an experienced Academic Liaison Manager to join our team in Library, Learning and Student Services (LLSS). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic community by providing expert guidance on information skills, collection development, and learning technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training programs for academic staff and students on information literacy, research skills, and digital literacy.
- Collaborate with academic departments to design and implement effective learning support strategies.
- Provide expert advice on collection development, including e-book and database procurement.
- Contribute to the development of the University's learning technology strategy.
- Work closely with the Learning Technology team to support the use of technology in learning and teaching.
Requirements
- Qualification in library or information science.
- Experience of working in learning support, academic libraries, or academic IT within HE or FE.
- Knowledge of recent trends in the support of learning and teaching, information skills, and collection development.
- Experience of staff leadership and/or management.
- Digitally literate with good written and verbal communication skills.
