About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Development Designer to join our team at Custom Toys UK. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development process from concept to prototype.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Develop detailed and visually compelling 2D and 3D designs for a variety of character-based merchandise, focusing heavily on plush toys.
- Prototype Coordination: Oversee the transition from digital design to physical prototype, working closely with overseas manufacturers to ensure clear communication and precise execution of design details.
- Project Management: Manage the full lifecycle of design projects, including setting timelines, organizing workflow, and ensuring all phases meet deadlines.
- Client Interaction: Work closely with our Client Success Consultant to discuss design options, provide recommendations directly to the client, and make necessary adjustments to align the final product to the client's vision.
- Marketing Support: Create engaging, visually appealing PDF handouts and sales aids to effectively showcase our products and support our marketing and sales teams.
Requirements:
- Design Expertise: Strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in both 2D and 3D product design, particularly in character-focused merchandise like plush toys.
- Project Management Skills: Highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects, and adept at ensuring that all aspects of the design and development process are completed on time.
- Effective Communication: Able to clearly articulate design concepts and revisions to overseas manufacturing partners, ensuring precise implementation.
