Job Summary:

NHS Lothian is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to lead our team in delivering exceptional patient care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and deployment of staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for the delivery of patient care within the area of responsibility.
  • Have managerial responsibility for the area in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse/Team Manager.
  • Supervise and deploy staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Assess care needs and evaluate care plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Maintain both clinical and staff governance.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and staff governance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
