Job Description

Quantinuum is seeking a skilled Front-End Engineer to join our Cambridge-based cloud platform team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robust front-ends for web applications that enable users to collaborate on quantum experiments.
  • Work closely with designers to translate UI designs into reliable and performant code.
  • Lead engineering discussions and select technical solutions that meet product requirements.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the team.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience developing professional web applications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of web fundamentals (CSS, HTML, JS) and Typescript.
  • Experience working with React or other UI frameworks (ideally Next JS).
  • Strong understanding of overall web application performance.
  • Unit and E2E testing experience with tools like Jest or Cypress.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (a11y, WAI-ARIA).
  • A 2:1 degree or higher in Mathematics, Computer Science, Science, or Engineering.
Desirable Skills
  • Interest in Quantum Computing.
  • Experience of implementing data visualization, particularly for scientific data.
  • Experience of working with Fast API.
  • Experience of programming in Rust.
