Job Title: Cost Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a Cost Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our business growth and making a difference to UK infrastructure.

Job Objectives:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders involved in projects and programmes.
  • Administer contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies, ensuring accurate cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely applications and adherence to governance.
  • Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Effectively manage contract change, ensuring projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.
  • Drive improvements in forecast accuracy and budgeting.
  • Provide sound commercial knowledge and support to stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts.
  • Lead people and commissions as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience or a sound understanding of contract management, cost management, change management, valuation, risk management, procurement, estimating, pricing, reporting, and collaborative approaches will be advantageous.
  • Ideal qualifications include a degree in a relevant subject and/or professional body membership.
