Hogarth, a global content experience company, is seeking a UK Commercial Finance Director to drive margin growth across the UK business. This role will report directly to the UK Finance Director and be responsible for leading the business through the commercial landscape, helping the company achieve and maintain a trajectory of profitable growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial finance, with experience in driving margin growth and managing client relationships. They will be responsible for understanding advertising production and bringing innovation to the ways of working, as well as managing an agreed portfolio of UK clients.

The role will also involve delivering commercial training to the business, overseeing procurement, implementing client price increases, and reviewing non-billable roles and time. The successful candidate will be a change agent, comfortable in a dynamic environment, and able to adapt to changing circumstances.

The UK Commercial Finance Director will work closely with the global commercial team and be responsible for making globally coordinated decisions that are globally optimal and locally sympathetic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the business through the commercial landscape and help the company achieve and maintain a trajectory of profitable growth.
  • Understand advertising production and bring innovation to the ways of working.
  • Manage an agreed portfolio of UK clients.
  • Ensure client and service profitability, taking remedial action on low margin/loss making accounts.
  • Deliver commercial training to the business.
  • Oversee procurement.
  • Implement client price increases.
  • Review non-billable roles and time.
  • Provide commercial thought leadership and be responsible for problem-solving.
  • Support non-client specific Ops projects.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Experience of working in a commercial financial role.
  • Relevant industry/professional services/multi-country experience.
  • Team management.
  • Effective financial modelling.
  • Strong operational awareness.
