We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ward Manager to lead our male rehabilitation ward. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to patients with complex mental health needs.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health rehabilitation and a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams. You will be responsible for developing and implementing care plans, ensuring compliance with mental health legislation, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the multidisciplinary team in providing person-centred care and treatment for patients with complex mental health needs
- Ensure compliance with mental health legislation, including the Mental Health Act, and safeguarding guidelines
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the patient, their families, and other healthcare professionals
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the ward, including staffing, budgeting, and resources
- Provide clinical supervision, support, and mentoring to staff to enhance their professional development
- Registered Nurse with either RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse) or RNLD (Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse) qualification
- Valid UK NMC Pin
- Proven experience in mental health rehabilitation and working with patients with enduring mental illness and personality disorders
- Strong understanding of mental health legislation and its application in clinical practice
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
