We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to join our Perishables operations team at Kuehne + Nagel AS. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in leading dynamic warehouse operations and contributing to the success of our Air Logistics business.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of up to 30 warehouse colleagues, including permanent and agency staff, to ensure excellent service delivery and cost optimization.
- Cargo Flow Management: Oversee Inbound and Outbound Cargo Flows, Manpower, Equipment & Inventory to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Operational Management: Responsible for the day-to-day management of the warehouse operation, ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with relevant ISO 9001 standards and K+N Quality Management System.
- Performance Management: Effectively manage people, identify training requirements, and ensure the warehouse operates in line with Kuehne + Nagel's management succession plans.
- Communication: Develop and execute a clear communication strategy, including conducting and recording pre-shift briefings, completing relevant and clear shift handovers, and participating in Department and/or Branch meetings.
- Previous experience in managing warehouse operations, preferably at Shift Manager or higher level.
- Excellent knowledge of airfreight warehousing, ideally with a background in freight/logistics or Airline/Cargo operations.
- Good knowledge of Pharma & Healthcare supply chain requirements.
- Extensive experience in the Air Logistics industry and in-depth knowledge of Air Logistics products.
- Demonstrable People Management skills - know how to motivate a team to consistently deliver excellent results.
