About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MET Strip/Fitter Technician to join our team at Steer Automotive Group's Edinburgh Bodyshop.

As a key member of our accident repair process, you will be responsible for:

  • Dismantling and reassembling vehicles to manufacturer standards.
  • Conducting thorough inspections to assess damage and identify repair requirements.
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
  • Collaborating with the Bodyshop team to ensure timely and high-quality repairs.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience as a MET Strip/Fitter or in a similar role within the Bodyshop and accident repair industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair techniques.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and Bodyshop equipment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • A proactive problem-solving attitude and ability to work under pressure.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ Level 3 or equivalent) are a plus.
