About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MET Technician to join our brand-new team in Edinburgh. As an experienced MET Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical and bodywork on allocated jobs, dismantling vehicles, and conducting inspections and diagnostic work.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must be able to plan your workload effectively, work skillfully and safely under pressure, and carry out work in accordance with manufacturers' specifications. You will also need to work as part of a team and on your own initiative with minimal supervision, be flexible in your approach, and continually work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out all necessary mechanical and bodywork on allocated jobs.
  • Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel shop.
  • Carry out inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work.
  • Ordering replacement parts.
  • Re-assembling the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition.
Requirements
  • Experience as a MET in a Bodyshop environment or Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and on your own initiative.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
  • High standards of work and customer satisfaction.
