Job Title: Children's Registered Manager

Job Summary:

Corus Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Registered Manager to lead our residential children's home. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people with Learning Disabilities (LD) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the children's home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our young people.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each child, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Lead a team of skilled staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Engage with children, building strong relationships and setting examples of excellent behavior.
  • Collaborate with social workers, family members, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support for our young people.
  • Manage referrals, matching, and organization to ensure the smooth operation of the home.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of safeguarding, ensuring the well-being and safety of all children in our care.
  • De-escalate challenging behavior and work with the team to develop strategies for positive outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve our goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a residential children's setting, with a strong understanding of LD needs.
  • Experience in managing a team and leading from the front.
  • Hold a Level 5 Health and Social Care Management and Leadership qualification.
  • Hold a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification (desirable).
  • Ability to work on call and be flexible with working hours.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team and stakeholders.
