Job Reference: (cb6) We are seeking a Support Worker to provide dedicated assistance primarily during school hours and on weekends for a 14-year-old boy with ADHD and learning difficulties.

Role Overview: This position involves one-on-one support for a young individual who, despite being 14, perceives the world with the understanding of an 8 or 9-year-old. He is vulnerable and requires a trustworthy companion to ensure his safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in various activities such as bowling, cinema outings, and cycling.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship, demonstrating patience and calmness.
  • Encourage outdoor activities to help the young individual expend energy.

Qualifications: While previous experience with neurodiverse children is preferred, the primary requirement is to establish a positive rapport with the young boy. A valid UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle are essential for facilitating outings.

Compensation: The basic pay rate is £11.44 per hour, along with holiday pay, which translates to an annual full-time equivalent salary of approximately £22,000.
