Position: Principal Finance Associate
Location: Worcester with a blend of remote and office work
Salary: £48,091– £57,463 annually
Hours: 35 hours per week
We are seeking a Principal Finance Associate to become part of our Development Finance team located in Worcester. This position involves managing and collaborating with a dynamic and focused team, encompassing the preparation of management information, financial assessments, annual budgets, and various reports to industry regulators. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual with the determination and drive to assist us in achieving our ambitious objectives within a challenging and rewarding setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the broader Development function in delivering its development initiatives
- Evaluating and analyzing complex or strategic development opportunities
- Assessing the financial and commercial risks associated with new investment proposals, applying sensitivity and scenario analysis, and identifying risk mitigation strategies
- Monitoring and reporting on the status and progress of ongoing development projects
- Preparing monthly management and project reports
- Generating and presenting information as required for the Executive Committee, Directors, and other key stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and business planning
- Overseeing the forecasting and budgeting processes for Development projects
- Supporting the Development Sales Team by providing timely and accurate information and reporting
- Leading a small team and ensuring adherence to processes in line with regulatory, statutory, and business requirements
- Establishing strong working relationships with key stakeholders and addressing any issues or deficiencies
- Facilitating the progress of New Build Development programs and processes in alignment with the Group's strategy to protect the organization’s financial interests, ensuring accurate, useful, and timely reporting
- Assisting in the review, development, implementation, and monitoring of systems to maintain a robust control environment
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction sector (though not mandatory)
- A highly motivated self-starter capable of making a significant impact in the delivery of our ambitious development program
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads effectively
- Experience in business partnering, collaborating with both finance and sales teams
- Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or a similar professional qualification
- Approachable with excellent communication skills across all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or similar software

- If pursuing qualification, a salary of £43,325 with an additional policy allowance of £4,766 per annum (increasing to £45,605 with an additional policy allowance of £5,017 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
- If a fully qualified Accountant, a salary of £43,325 with an additional policy allowance of £11,265 per annum (increasing to £45,605 with an additional policy allowance of £11,858 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
