Job Summary:

Kent County Council's Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking (UAS) Children's Service is seeking an experienced Children's Home Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Maple Rise, a children's home for UAS children aged under 16-years-old. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality care and support to UAS children, promoting their well-being and resettlement journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of Maple Rise, ensuring the provision of high-quality care and support to UAS children.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote the well-being and resettlement journey of UAS children.
  • Collaborate with the UAS Children's Service team to ensure seamless delivery of services and support to UAS children.
  • Manage and develop a team of staff to provide high-quality care and support to UAS children.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and other relevant legislation.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with local services and organisations to promote the well-being and resettlement journey of UAS children.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with UAS children and families.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective strategies to promote the well-being and resettlement journey of UAS children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and other relevant legislation.
