Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intelligence Officer to join our Intelligence Development Team (IDT) at HM Revenue and Customs. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in gathering and analyzing intelligence to support our law enforcement efforts.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for:

  • Gathering and analyzing intelligence to support criminal investigations and prosecutions
  • Leading and developing a small team of intelligence analysts
  • Developing and implementing intelligence strategies to support our law enforcement efforts
  • Working closely with other teams within HMRC and external law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and best practices
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on intelligence matters to senior stakeholders
Key Responsibilities

As an Intelligence Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Gathering and analyzing intelligence from a variety of sources, including open-source intelligence, human intelligence, and signals intelligence
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies and other government departments
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on intelligence matters to senior stakeholders
  • Developing and implementing intelligence strategies to support our law enforcement efforts
  • Leading and developing a small team of intelligence analysts

  • Proven experience in intelligence gathering and analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills
