Job Overview

Thornbury Community Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in learning disabilities care.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months of experience in UK-based learning disabilities care.
  • Confidence in performing physical interventions, with up-to-date training and certification.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, mental health conditions, and other learning disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
