Job Overview

The Role of the Medical Secretary Includes:

Delivering a precise, confidential, and supportive administrative service for patients, clinical teams, caregivers, and both internal and external organizations to ensure: a secure and effective patient journey while providing essential information and support to families and caregivers.

The individual in this position will contribute to the provision of a comprehensive, high-quality medical secretarial administrative service.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Medical Secretary team, offering a reliable and confidential administrative service to the Clinical Specialty and its related work streams. This role involves assisting consultants, junior medical staff, and other healthcare professionals in establishing best practices and processes, managing diaries, and coordinating appointments and admissions-related information for patients and caregivers.

The post holder will possess proficient typing skills and will ensure that the specialty maintains effective filing and information recording systems. They will be responsible for planning and organizing their own time, adjusting clinic appointments for patients, and ensuring that notes are prepared for clinics as required.

Proficiency in Welsh is desirable for this position; applications from both Welsh and English speakers are welcomed.
