About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Care Specialist to join our team at My Care Business. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our service users, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Nursing Care: Provide a high standard of direct nursing care to service users based on the assessment of care needs and in consultation with the service users, their relatives, and the care team.
  • Nursing Services: Assume responsibility for the nursing services provided by the home, ensuring that residents are always well safeguarded from abuse and neglect.
  • Care Planning: Continuously evaluate the quality of care given and regularly reassess the needs of service users in consultation with the service users, their relatives, and the care team, and to effect change required to achieve planned goals.
  • Medication Administration: Administer and order medicines as required by service users and the home's policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Liaise with service users, GPs, and other healthcare professionals involved, such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and community nurses.
  • Nurse Care Planning: Engage in nurse care planning and implementation of care plans, working within the NMC codes of conduct and scope of practice and within the home's policies and procedures.
  • Professional Development: Continuously review their own nursing practices to develop new skills and knowledge through continuous professional development training that contribute to the enhancement of patient care skills.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with other members of the care team, ensuring that effective high-quality care is given to achieve planned goals.
  • Support and Supervision: Provide support and professional supervision to care staff and nursing assistants as appropriate.
  • Staff Meetings: Attend and participate in relevant staff meetings.
  • Resource Management: Make effective and efficient use of all the home's resources.
  • Partnership Working: Work in partnership with service users, families, and friends in planning, implementing, and reviewing care plans.
  • Support Services: Enable service users to receive appropriate religious, cultural, emotional, and psychological support.

Requirements
  • NMC Registration: Current valid NMC registration.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months recent relevant UK experience.
  • Training Records: Current and up to date training records.
  • Clinical References: 2 professional clinical references.
