Job Overview

The Operations division operates under the direct supervision of the Chief Operating Officer and consists of two primary teams.

Premium and Data Control Team (PDC)

This team collaborates with essential stakeholders within Operations and external teams to ensure that all business transactions are accurately documented and maintained within the corporate system, Advanced Commercial Banking System (ACBS). Additionally, this team manages the portal website, workflow systems, and the operational relationships with banks, brokers, exporters, and other users of the digital assets. The team also oversees the Bank Delegation Service.

DL Operations Team

Provides essential support for the Direct Lending Operations Team post-signing, ensuring the correct booking of new facilities, accurate processing of drawdown requests, and monitoring of covenants.

Role Responsibilities

The team is tasked with the precise recording and maintenance of UK Export Finance's (UKEF) business transactions and international debt agreements within one of the department's key corporate systems (ACBS), which is a comprehensive commercial lending and trading system that integrates various functional modules to support the lending process from deal structuring through servicing and trading.

As an Operational Delivery Officer, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely entry and maintenance of corporate data in ACBS by processing and entering information received from stakeholders. You will also provide support for any investigations into issues, referring to the ACBS System Administrators as necessary, and making corrections or amendments to data entries within the corporate system.

In your role, you will collaborate with your team to ensure that all incoming tasks are addressed promptly to meet Key Performance Indicator (KPI) timelines. You will also seek opportunities to streamline and enhance processes and procedures. Additionally, you will assist in analyzing control reports and conducting data validation checks.

Candidate Profile

Operational Responsibilities
• Ensure that work is processed accurately within agreed KPI and SLA deadlines, escalating issues as necessary.
• Monitor the SharePoint site, collaborating with the team to manage workloads and priorities to maintain service levels.
• Provide coverage in the absence of team members, prioritizing tasks to ensure a high level of service.
• Engage in ongoing discussions with team members and managers regarding operational priorities and issues to enhance team and division effectiveness.

Data Management and Procedures
• Set up and maintain corporate data in ACBS with the highest accuracy within established parameters.
• Ensure adherence to processes and procedures, maintaining clear guidance and identifying potential weaknesses in systems or concerns with business transactions.
• Identify, allocate, and process premium receipts according to branch instructions.
• Manage and maintain control logs, ensuring data is recorded promptly and accurately.

Continuous Improvement
• Assist in maintaining up-to-date procedures and creating new procedures for unique cases.
• Provide advice and guidance on the current recording of business transactions to other business areas, particularly to Business Analysts developing new products.
• Identify areas for improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of PDC operations.

Qualifications

To meet the National Security Vetting requirements for this role, candidates must have resided in the UK for a minimum of three out of the past five years. Failure to meet this requirement will render candidates ineligible for SC clearance and this role.
