We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medicinal Chemist to join our dynamic team at Bicycle Therapeutics. Key Responsibilities- Design and Synthesis: Develop and execute strategies for the design and synthesis of novel Bicycles and conjugates, with a focus on delivering clinical candidates.
- Project Leadership: Lead project teams to progress Bicycle's oncology pipeline, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, including Platform, Biology, DMPK, in vivo Pharmacology, Translational Sciences, and CMC, to ensure seamless project execution.
- External Partnerships: Manage external contract research organizations (CROs) to deliver chemistry activities, including maintaining relationships, developing chemistry plans, and tracking project progress.
- Intellectual Property: Prepare reports and contribute to drafting and reviewing patent filings, as well as preparing manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience: Relevant industry or academic experience in contemporary medicinal/peptide chemistry, with a focus on the design and synthesis of bioactive peptides and conjugates in preclinical drug discovery programs.
- Skills: Experience in structure-based drug design, computational modeling, and data analysis software to interpret SAR data. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Education: A degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as chemistry or biochemistry.
