We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our esteemed team at RAF Lakenheath.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in heavy mobile equipment and automotive vehicles
  • Maintain equipment including aircraft platform loaders, bulldozers, excavators, and mobile cranes
  • Conduct functional and performance tests on completed work
  • Adhere to safety practices and procedures
  • Use various hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and test equipment
  • Interpret and apply manufacturers' repair manuals, technical specifications, and schematics
  • Communicate effectively and maintain detailed records
Requirements
  • Relevant UK Certification, such as a Level 3 National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) or Level 3 National Diploma, or equivalent
  • A valid Category B driver's license
  • Ability to interpret repair manuals and safety guides
  • Effective communication skills with the capability to train others
