Job Title: CCTV Monitoring Team Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead one of our four Operational Security Teams at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the security team, ensuring they provide a high profile, visible uniformed presence to the general public and the hospital's patients & staff.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the Security operations, ensuring the safety and security of all persons and properties at King's College Hospital.
  2. Supervise and administer security staff, including appraisals, attendance sheets, sickness / absence records, disciplinary investigations, training and the implementation of the Trust's policies and procedures.
  3. Respond to security incidents within an agreed time frame and attend at medical emergencies to provide support to medical staff.
  4. Co-ordinate and work as part of the Fire Response Team, liaising with other departments and the Fire Brigade as appropriate.
  5. Manage and staff the hospital's Security Control Room, monitoring all alarms within, as well as monitoring the CCTV cameras.
  6. Use designated powers & policies when intervening at incidents, whilst deterring, and preventing crime and other anti-social behaviour.
  7. Investigate and monitor ongoing staff investigations into security incidents/breaches in a fair, objective and professional manner.
  8. Manage the hospital's car parking systems and enforce the Trust's parking policies.
  9. Comply with the Trust and local security policies.
  10. Take additional responsibilities in the absence of a Security Manager.
