Job Title: EPR Data Warehouse Project Manager
Job Summary:
Venn Group is seeking an experienced EPR Data Warehouse Project Manager to lead the delivery of the EPR data warehouse strategy, development, and management within the EPR Core Informatics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of developers, leading them in the analysis, requirements, design, development, testing, enhancement, documentation, and ongoing support of development and reporting requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead discussions with stakeholders to understand complex reporting needs across multiple existing systems and sites, applying EPR build and design expertise to analyse current business practices and provide recommended reporting solutions.
- Develop and implement the EPR data warehouse strategy, working closely with the three Trust's data warehouse and technical teams to support their continuity of reporting and taking account of their local needs.
- Manage the team of developers, ensuring project deliverables are consistent with the overall programme objectives and strategic plans.
- Coordinate and develop project work plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules, ensuring timely delivery and coordination with service line stakeholders.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of specifications, leading quality assurance testing of files/reports, and ensuring timely delivery and coordination with service line stakeholders.
- Support the development of cross-trust EPR report design templates and methodology.
- Ensure the data warehouse team works to the EPR report design methodology.
- Lead audits to review the development process throughout the term of the programme and post-implementation to provide assurance that the development is in line with the EPR report design methodology.
- Manage the notification, escalation, and remedy of potential data quality issues and support the work with relevant stakeholders to identify ways to mitigate these.
- Ensure documentation for projects, deliverables, and report specifications are created and maintained in line with programme progress.
- Implement and manage the EPR reporting tools security and access models within the data warehouse environment.
- Lead work with the team and stakeholders to solve problems and challenges in the front-end or data warehouse build that have previously not been encountered by Meditech in the development of statutory and contractual returns.
- Work on highly complex, cross-functional, and enterprise IT and business intelligence solutions.
- Work with stakeholders to translate their requirements into technical specifications.
- Capable of providing highly complex analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms.
- Research and investigate business problems and create data models that help analyse these potentially complex business problems.
- Direct and work with the testing team to develop test scripts against patient scenarios that will be outputted into the data warehouse across patient pathways and interfaces to other systems in accordance with the Testing Manager's instructions.
- Lead the data warehouse upgrade process and ensure all allocated actions are performed and completed within the agreed timescales, escalating any potential issues as soon as they come to light.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in data warehousing, SQL Server Management Studio, and data architecture.
- Ability to understand business objectives, NHS statutory & contractual deliverables, questions, and problems, and obtain and present data to address these.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience in managing a team of developers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and investigate complex business problems.
- Experience in working with NHS data dictionary and rules, and ability to provide guidance and insight into their correct application within the data warehouse environment.
