We are seeking a skilled Archaeology and Records Officer to join our Planning Services team at BAJR Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality archaeological and historic environment service that contributes to the achievement of the company's vision and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional advice on archaeology and heritage issues to stakeholders and external partners.
  • Support the Development Management process by providing technical comments and recommendations on planning applications and pre-application enquiries.
  • Establish and maintain good links with external heritage bodies and assist with bids for external funding to support heritage improvements.
  • Assist, prepare, and implement policies and strategies for archaeology for inclusion in local or national policy frameworks.
Requirements
  • Professional degree or postgraduate diploma in Archaeology.
  • Membership of the IFA or IHBC.
  • Good working knowledge of GIS mapping techniques and applications.
  • Experience in carrying out or commissioning research, analysis, and recording of the historic environment.
  • Experience in working with a range of bodies to promote heritage assets and supporting voluntary and community projects.
