Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emotional Health Practitioner to join our SCAYT+ team at Lancashire County Council. The successful candidate will work with children looked after and adopted, as well as their caregivers and professionals involved in their care planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions to support the emotional health and wellbeing of children and families
  • Work with caregivers, social workers, and other professionals to develop and implement care plans
  • Provide training and support to caregivers and professionals on attachment, developmental trauma, and therapeutic parenting
  • Conduct assessments and develop strategies to support children and families
  • Collaborate with the SCAYT+ team to develop and implement service plans
Requirements
  • Experience working with children looked after and adopted
  • Knowledge of attachment theory, systemic practice, and therapeutic principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
