About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to support our primary school students with their learning and development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide individualized support to students with varying needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN) and behavioral challenges.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one, small group, and whole-class support to students
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Supporting students with SEN and behavioral needs
  • Using a child-centered approach to provide the best support for students' learning and development

We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic individual who can work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.

About You

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant position, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children and students with SEN
  • Suitable qualifications to work with young people and support students with SEND
  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students
  • Confidence in dealing with occasional behavioral challenges
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check
