Job Title: Director of Instruction

At Topgolf UK, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Instruction to lead our golf instruction program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional golf instruction to our guests, while also driving growth and revenue for our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and schedule golf lessons, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests
  • Utilize swing analysis technology and learning theories to develop and implement effective instruction methods
  • Grow our golf instruction platform through marketing and community outreach efforts
  • Direct tournaments and summer camps, providing a fun and engaging experience for our guests
  • Work closely with our events team to promote and teach lessons at events
  • Walk the tee line during peak times to market our platform and provide impromptu lessons
  • Supervise information requests regarding lesson schedules and instructional series
  • Manage and implement ideas for player development series at our venue
  • Manage club fitting, repair, and maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain inventory of golf services tools, technology, and teaching aids
  • Meet budgetary requirements for our golf services program
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years' experience teaching golf lessons, with experience coaching different levels of golfers
  • 2-3 years' previous sales experience required
  • PGA Membership; Class A Certification preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Management experience of an independent golf lesson program
  • Proven track record of successful instruction
  • Exceptional coaching ability
  • Social and interpersonal skills required to interact with all Topgolf Guests
  • Familiarity with swing analysis technology and launch monitor technology
  • Ability to develop positive and ongoing relationships with Guests
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • A high level of self-awareness, receptivity to change, and integrity
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, including maneuvering up and down stairs

Competitive Salary up to £23,000 + Commission
