Senior Catering Manager

Job Purpose:
To oversee the efficient and effective delivery of a catering service in a school setting, ensuring high-quality food and excellent customer service.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute skilled cooking activities, including menu preparation, portion control, and special dietary meals, to meet the needs of students and staff.
- Supervise food service operations, including food preparation, presentation, and transportation, to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote the catering service, increase meal uptake, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, health and safety regulations, and other relevant laws and codes of practice.
- Manage staff, including supervision, training, and performance evaluation, to maintain a high-performing team.
- Coordinate with the school to ensure effective communication and collaboration on all aspects of service delivery.
- Monitor and control resources, including food, labor, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in food service or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food safety legislation, health and safety regulations, and other relevant laws and codes of practice.
