About the Role

Churchill Estates Management Ltd is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee a number of independent retirement housing developments in the Somerset & Wiltshire area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a first-class, cost-effective management service combined with exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations and achieves targeted profitability.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Controlling expenditure and producing budgets and accounts for presentation to the Homeowners
  • Negotiating with contractors and overseeing performance
  • Supporting and developing a team of Lodge Managers
  • Maintaining customer relationships with external landlords and Homeowners

The ideal candidate will have proven working knowledge of property management and building structures, with a recognised property management qualification and membership of RICS or IRPM. They will also possess excellent communication skills, a high degree of competence in written and spoken English and numeracy, and be self-motivated with the ability to handle conflict and problem solve.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be extremely well organised, flexible, and able to manage several tasks simultaneously. They will also require a full UK Driving Licence and be willing to travel extensively across the region and to the Head Office in Ringwood.
