About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Technical Design Authority. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of secure infrastructure and the ability to design and deliver compelling solutions to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the performance and quality of output to support business growth, ensuring timescales are met and technical designs are completed in line with business strategy and targets.
  • Work directly with clients to understand their needs and develop high-quality responses to their requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to our operations and sales teams, ensuring the quality of input and overall proposals for bids.
  • Drive innovation in our approach to customer needs and work closely with the business to generate a comprehensive knowledgebase/library to support the end-to-end pre-sales and sales lifecycle.
  • Support the broader growth team to stimulate demand for services and inform/influence sales opportunities.
  • Assist the business with the technical qualification of new business opportunities or prospects, ensuring alignment with Capita's target markets, portfolio, delivery, and lifecycle services capability.
  • Drive the simplification and standardization of processes, tools, and associated documents supporting deliverables.
  • Maintain skills through attending seminars, courses, and self-study relevant to current business strategy.
  • Attain and retain recognized industry and vendor qualifications.
Requirements
  • Security Clearance (minimum SC) is required for the role, with existing clearance or suitability for clearance to be achieved.
  • Strong understanding of secure infrastructure and the broader technology market.
  • Good understanding of technology trends and their impact on Capita and our clients.
  • Evidence of experience in defining and delivering secure infrastructure-based solutions.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of secure infrastructure technology, including a background in one or more of the following: structured cabling, physical security, audio visual infrastructure, smart buildings.
  • Secure Infrastructure Vendor certification.
  • Demonstrable skills in understanding client needs and designing and delivering compelling solutions.
  • Personal integrity that builds trust and confidence with clients and colleagues.
  • Confident and personable with strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively and compellingly at all levels of an organization.
  • Proactive and collaborative approach to working with clients, colleagues, partners, and vendors.
  • Able to manage competing priorities for own activities, delivering against agreed priorities and deadlines.
  • Flexible, able to travel, and stay away from home when required.
  • Current full UK driving license.
  • Able to work autonomously aligned with broad direction.
  • Outcome-driven against targets, with a strong focus on execution and 'getting things done'.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Working closely and maintaining relationships with key vendors.
