Support Specialist for Elderly Care – Field-Based Role in North Bristol

Location: North Bristol Area
Salary: Competitive + Travel Expenses Covered - We reimburse from the start to the end of your shift.

Are you a caring and proactive individual looking to enhance the lives of older adults? At McCarthy Stone, we are seeking a Support Specialist for Elderly Care to significantly contribute to the well-being of our residents across North Bristol's Retirement Living communities.

Role Overview: As a Support Specialist, you will deliver tailored care and domestic assistance to our residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and enjoy their retirement years. This role is field-based, necessitating travel between various developments in the North Bristol area, with all travel expenses reimbursed. You will collaborate closely with the Field Care Supervisor to provide exceptional care services, which include assisting with personal care, household chores, and fostering social engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Individualized Support: Offer personalized assistance, including help with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and medication management. Provide domestic support such as cleaning, shopping, and overseeing household responsibilities. Housekeeping Duties: Ensure communal areas within our developments are maintained to a high standard, creating a clean, tidy, and inviting environment for all residents. Social Engagement: Facilitate social activities, transport arrangements, and appointment attendance for residents, enhancing their overall well-being and social connections.

Desired Qualifications:

Skills & Experience: Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and effective time management abilities. Previous experience in a care setting is preferred, with a solid understanding of adult safeguarding and care regulations. Driving License: A valid UK driving license is essential for this field-based role, along with a willingness to travel between developments in North Bristol. Flexibility: Availability to work early mornings, late shifts, and alternate weekends. Willingness to take on additional shifts to support on-call needs.
