Job Description

Job Title: Adult Congenital Heart Disease Specialist Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) service at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As an ACHD Specialist Nurse, you will work with a varied and complex group of cardiology patients as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical advice, education, and support to patients in an outpatient and inpatient setting.
  • Develop skills in clinical assessment and management of patient caseload.
  • Plan and coordinate care for patients with congenital heart disease.
  • Participate in education for nurses and other professionals.
  • Deliver holistic care and work well with patients and their families, building life-long collaborative relationships.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with patients in a cardiac setting.
  • Previous experience of working with patients with congenital heart disease is desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, but also autonomously and prioritize your own time and patient caseload.
  • Health Assessment qualification or willingness to study for one.
