Job Title: Field Operations Supervisor

Weatherford is seeking a highly skilled Field Operations Supervisor to lead our LWD team in Aberdeen. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing field operations to ensure the delivery of exceptional service, safety, quality, and technical support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of LWD/MWD field engineers to achieve maximum job coverage and efficiency.
  • Coordinate field engineer job assignments and supervise their performance to ensure compliance with safety rules and procedures.
  • Evaluate LWD/MWD data collected from the field and distribute it as needed to support operational decisions.
  • Review and ensure timely submission of final EOWR and MLWD logs to clients.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for field engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Lead and motivate employees to work to the best of their ability, creating an environment of accountability and delegation.
  • Ensure procedures are followed to verify proper operation of all equipment, either in the shop or on the rig site.
  • Prioritize maintenance schedules to maximize equipment utilization and minimize costs.
  • Maintain accurate tool run history and tool performance history, interfacing with Repair & Maintenance and Field Personnel to ensure maximum tool reliability.
  • Ensure complete compliance with all government agencies and regulations.
  • Prepare monthly reports on current job activity, special projects, tool performance summary, and other relevant metrics.
  • Review field engineers on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with all safety rules and procedures.
  • Assist with tool failure analysis, identifying lessons learned and implementing improvements to enhance service quality.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and attend client meetings as required.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of customer activity plans and local market conditions to forecast activity trends and support business planning.
  • Assist in defining budgetary requirements based on customer activity plans and revenue recognition through appropriate field paperwork and job tracking.
  • Accountable for meeting country area financial goals through optimizing equipment and personnel utilization and managing cost control.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a service company environment in operations and/or business management and professional qualification in a related field.
  • Thorough knowledge of drilling systems, products, and services.
  • Excellent communication, organization, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills.
  • Positive attitude and a high degree of self-discipline and motivation.
  • A problem solver based on experience.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Understanding of computer applications within the proposed job environment.
  • Ability to generate concise reports.
  • Ability to resolve human resource problems/issues at a local level.
  • Self-sufficient, able to work under demanding conditions.
  • Works as part of a team and comfortable working with diverse individuals and cultures.
  • Secures respect through sector knowledge.
  • Excellent written and oral communicator.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
