Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our team at the Isle of Raasay Distillery. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Financial Controller and assisting with various financial tasks, including bookkeeping, accounts management, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Financial Controller with day-to-day financial tasks, including bookkeeping, accounts management, and financial analysis.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department, including data entry, document preparation, and filing.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile accounts, identify and address any discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist with the management of cash handling, including processing payments, managing petty cash, and reconciling bank statements.
- Support the implementation of financial systems and processes, including the use of accounting software and other financial tools.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of financial activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in a small business or startup environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners.
- Proficiency in accounting software, including Xero and Odoo, and other financial tools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
