Position: Youth Support Specialist

An exceptional educational institution is seeking a graduate to become part of their dedicated support staff team as a Youth Support Specialist on a full-time basis.

This specialized institution caters to students with diverse social, emotional, and mental health requirements. In the capacity of a Youth Support Specialist, you will be providing assistance to students with additional needs, some of whom may be dealing with issues related to developmental trauma and neglect.

Your primary responsibility will be to offer these young individuals the necessary consistency and patience to help them attain their educational goals.

Students in this environment will benefit from personalized guidance and support, aiding them in regulating their thoughts and processing their emotions in a constructive manner.

Psychology graduates will find this role to be an EXCELLENT opportunity to gain firsthand experience and mentorship from seasoned professionals within the institution, enhancing their communication skills and learning how to support children with significant emotional needs in an educational setting.

Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, etc., are encouraged to consider this opportunity. Experience with SEN/SEMH children and/or adults is desirable but not essential.
