Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repairs: Carry out general maintenance and repairs around the school premises, ensuring that all facilities are in excellent working order. This includes tasks such as fixing equipment, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
  • Health and Safety: Regularly inspect the school grounds to ensure safety standards are met. This includes checking playground equipment, securing buildings, and identifying potential hazards.
  • Cleaning and Waste Management: Oversee and assist with the cleaning of classrooms, corridors, and outdoor areas, as well as managing waste disposal and recycling efforts.
  • Security: Open and close the school each day, ensuring all doors, windows, and gates are securely locked. Monitor the premises for any security issues and liaise with external contractors when necessary.
  • Groundskeeping: Maintain the school's outdoor areas, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and ensuring pathways are clear of debris.
