Mechanical Services Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Services Engineer to join our team at Dutton Recruitment. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the materials handling equipment of our clients is serviced, legally compliant, fit for purpose, and safe.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional mechanical engineering knowledge and experience, with the ability to understand and problem solve complex issues. You will work independently, managing your time effectively and communicating openly and clearly with clients and colleagues.
The role involves planned service on vacuum tube lifting systems, planned installations of equipment, breakdown service, and upgrade installations and subsequent maintenance. You will also be responsible for training operators, managing van stock parts, and completing written reports in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:- Planned service on vacuum tube lifting systems
- Planned installations of equipment
- Breakdown service
- Upgrade installations and subsequent maintenance
- Training of operators
- Management of van stock parts
- Completing written reports in a timely manner
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (pneumatics an advantage)
- Minimum NVQ level 3 or time-served equivalent (relevant previous experience)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication skills and customer-oriented approach
