About the Role:
As a Maintenance Manager at Barchester Healthcare, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our care homes, ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment for our residents and staff. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all care home facilities, including buildings, gardens, and grounds.
- Manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and budgets.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
About You:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager who is able to work independently and as part of a team. You will have a strong background in property maintenance, with experience of managing a team and developing maintenance schedules and budgets. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, residents, and external contractors.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance or facilities management role.
- Proven track record of managing a team and developing maintenance schedules and budgets.
- Strong background in property maintenance, with experience of managing a team and developing maintenance schedules and budgets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, residents, and external contractors.
