About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head of Maintenance to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our care homes, providing a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all aspects of the care home, including buildings, gardens, and grounds.
  • Lead a team of maintenance staff and provide guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to carry out their duties.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to develop and implement annual budget plans for maintenance and repairs.
  • Liaise with contractors and external agencies to ensure that all work is carried out to a high standard and within budget.
  • Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out with sensitivity to the needs of our residents and staff.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced maintenance professional who has a strong background in property maintenance and a proven ability to lead a team. You should have a full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent). You will be reliable, flexible, and able to work well under pressure.
