Job Title: Head / Sole Gardener

Location: Shirburn Lodge, south Oxfordshire.

About the Role:

The Head / Sole Gardener will be responsible for the maintenance and presentation of the beautiful garden at Shirburn Lodge, a stunning property in south Oxfordshire. The garden has been designed by renowned landscape architect Tom Stuart-Smith and features a range of exquisite perennial planting and shrubs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the garden to a high standard, ensuring it remains a beautiful and welcoming space for the owners and their family.
  • Develop and implement plans for the ongoing maintenance and presentation of the garden, including the development of the back of house, productive and cuttings areas.
  • Work closely with the owners to ensure their vision for the garden is realized.
  • Provide occasional support for security and essential tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head / Sole Gardener or in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of horticulture and garden design.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
