Transport Weighbridge Technician

Role Overview:
The primary responsibility of the weighbridge operator is to facilitate the efficient functioning of the weighbridge facility, serving as the initial and final point of contact for all personnel and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all legal and contractual obligations, including the completion of site inductions and accurate weight assessments.
- Act as a vital link within the transport operations, collaborating closely to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
- Maintain accurate records of all vehicle weights, ensuring no discrepancies exceed acceptable limits.
- Verify that all individuals entering the site have undergone the necessary induction process.
- Monitor and log all vehicles entering and exiting the premises, ensuring only authorized access.
- Distribute site regulations to all drivers and ensure adherence to hygiene standards in operational areas.
- Complete all necessary documentation promptly and accurately.
- Ensure all shipments are processed in the SAP system.
- Adhere to all relevant company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding company business and maintain professional relationships.
- Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, understanding the importance of OHSAS18001.
- Participate in any required training to enhance personal and professional development.
What You Bring:
- A minimum of two years' experience in a logistics environment.
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
- Familiarity with fleet management systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong numerical and literacy abilities.
- Relevant internal/logistics qualifications.
- Attention to detail and precision in all tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-focused mindset with a results-oriented approach.
- Flexibility and a proactive attitude towards work.
