Senior Development Underwriter

We are seeking an experienced Senior Development Underwriter to join our team at Stride Resource Management Ltd. As a key member of our branch, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and leveraging relationships with strategic partner brokers to support renewal retention.

The Role
  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of in-appetite opportunities to meet new business targets.
  • Manage a small book of larger and more complex key clients through the renewal process, ensuring cross-sell opportunities are implemented.
  • Liaise with the Regional Underwriting Officer to obtain sign-off on large out-of-authority cases.
  • Trade with key contacts in the market to ensure company products and appetite are known and shared across the broker panel.
  • Support and develop less experienced colleagues to increase the skill level and experience of the branch team.
The Candidate
  • You will be an experienced Senior Underwriter, Lead, or Trading Underwriter with a strong new business track record.
  • You will have an extensive network of key broker contacts to support trading activities in both new business and renewals.
  • You will be a solutions-focused individual who is a self-starter and able to work in an efficient and effective manner.
  • You will be comfortable with face-to-face trading with brokers and have experience of meeting clients directly.
  • You will have excellent technical insurance knowledge of both Property & Casualty elements.
