About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Policy and Public Affairs Advisor to join our team at The Woman's Trust. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping our policy agenda and stakeholder outreach programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the CEO, Senior Communications Manager, and Research and Data Team to design, manage, and deliver a cutting-edge policy agenda.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, policymakers, and industry leaders.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions and advocacy efforts.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to raise awareness of our work and influence public policy.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in policy and public affairs, with a strong understanding of the UK policy landscape.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong knowledge of the women's and mental health sectors, with a deep understanding of the issues and challenges facing survivors of domestic abuse.
