We are thrilled to present a remarkable opportunity to become a part of our dedicated Hospitality Team. We are in search of a Kitchen Supervisor to support our Sous Chef in overseeing all culinary operations and the provision of services within Jewish Care's Homes and Community Centres.

The Kitchen Supervisor will manage a specific section of the kitchen and will be accountable for delivering exceptional food services and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include maintaining food quality, adhering to Health & Safety Regulations, managing budgets, and leading a team through effective communication. This position entails a commitment of 35 hours per week, across 5 out of 7 days, including some weekends.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in managing and executing all catering services throughout the organization, ensuring the dignity, liberty, and safety of residents are prioritized.
  • Monitor and uphold all food hygiene and Health & Safety standards, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and current legislation.
  • Oversee food production to ensure it meets the established quality standards.
  • Innovate in the presentation of dishes, menu development, and procedures to enhance the cooking process.
  • Regularly review and update the menu, taking into account seasonal availability, market trends, and cultural needs.
  • Address the special dietary requirements of residents while being mindful of cultural and religious preferences.


Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • City & Guilds 7051/7062 or an equivalent qualification.
  • Health & Hygiene NVQ Level 2 or QCF equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Chef, ideally in multi-site operations.
  • Expertise in high-quality food preparation.
  • Understanding of dietary needs and allergen management.
  • Knowledge of cultural considerations and the ability to create a diverse menu.
  • Familiarity with waste management practices and infection control.
  • Awareness of COSHH and CQC regulations.
