The Financial Times Group is seeking an experienced Editorial Director to lead the editorial team at The Banker London. As a key member of the publication's leadership, you will be responsible for driving the editorial direction and strategy of The Banker, a flagship publication of the Financial Times Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the editorial strategy for The Banker, aligning with the publication's mission and vision.
  • Lead a team of experienced editors and journalists, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality content.
  • Collaborate with the editor-in-chief to make strategic decisions about the publication's editorial direction and new formats.
  • Write news, analysis, and long-form pieces, as required, and commission and edit others' work.
  • Commission opinion pieces from industry experts and academics to contribute to the understanding of key financial and economic issues.
  • Occasionally travel to attend and report from industry events.
  • Moderate panel discussions organized by The Banker and FT Live.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an editorial director or senior editor in a leading publication.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a deep understanding of the financial industry.
