Key Responsibilities
The Senior Private Patient Nurse will collaborate across various specialties, conducting both telephone and in-person pre-admission assessments, facilitating admission planning, and implementing exemplary clinical care standards. This role involves working closely with the multidisciplinary team across the Trust and assisting patients with discharge and follow-up care.
Effective communication is essential in this position, as you will regularly interact with consultants, administrative staff, and ward personnel.

Qualifications
Essential:
- A degree or higher qualification in Adult Nursing, along with postgraduate diploma specialist training or equivalent specialist knowledge and practical experience.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Experience
Essential:
- Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to patients, families, and colleagues.
- Experience in performing complex nursing interventions, including medication administration and wound management.
- Capability to manage moving and handling tasks related to patient care.
- Proven ability to develop and evaluate specialist patient care plans while collaborating with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to adjust priorities based on patient needs in a dynamic clinical environment.
- Experience in delegating patient care and managing staff schedules.
- Professional demeanor and ability to serve as a role model for other staff members.
- Experience in managing ward operations and supervising staff.
- Ability to manage a personal patient workload and support junior team members.
