Job Purpose:

The Assistant Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing component repair and overhaul capabilities, ensuring technical facilities and capabilities support current commitments and new customer requirements.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:Multi-Discipline Coordination:

Collaborate across various trades to ensure the smooth completion of production tasks, fostering a culture of teamwork and effective communication.

Technical Support:

Provide technical guidance and support for new repair processes, resolving existing production difficulties and driving continuous improvement.

Best Practices Implementation:

Ensure the implementation of best practices across MRO repair facilities, promoting a culture of excellence and quality.

Additional Duties:

Perform any other tasks within your capabilities as requested by the company, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.

Required Skills and Experience:Engineering Experience:

Several years of hands-on engineering experience within an aerospace repair facility, with a strong understanding of component repair and overhaul processes.

Component Repair Approvals:

Hold appropriate component repair approvals, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Project Management:

Experience in project management with strong communication, teamwork, self-initiative, and problem-solving skills, able to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects forward.

Quality Assurance:

Strong awareness of QA requirements within component repair, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability.

IT Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and systems.

Organisational and Communication Skills:

Excellent organisational and communication skills, able to work effectively with stakeholders and teams to achieve common goals.

Driving Licence:

Full Clean UK Driving Licence, enabling flexibility and mobility in the role.
